Natuna is located in the northern part of Indonesia’s historical trade route, which has often attracted attention as a tourist destination that offers extraordinary natural potential, especially for sports tourism enthusiasts. Invest SEA together with the Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of Regional Autonomy (KPPOD) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) focusing on the potential of ecotourism, sports tourism, and infrastructure growth in Natuna. KPPOD Executive Director, Armand Suparman said “By increasing investment in the ecotourism sector, it is hoped that it can make a positive contribution to local economic growth and strengthen regional independence”. Invest SEA’s representative in Indonesia, Sofyan Herbowo sees that Natuna’s tourism promotion can be optimized through various social media platforms.
